Terms & Conditions
Last updated 3 September 2026
These terms are a contract between you and CareerPilot AI (“CareerPilot AI”, “we”, “us”), the provider of the CareerPilot AI service. By creating an account or continuing to use the service you agree to these terms. If you are using CareerPilot AI on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it; otherwise you confirm you are of legal age to enter this contract.
1. The service
CareerPilot AI is a subscription web application that uses artificial intelligence to analyse resumes, score job fit, draft tailored applications, run mock interviews, research companies, evaluate offers and build career roadmaps. Usage is metered in credits, which are granted by your plan.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
3. Licence and restrictions
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use CareerPilot AI within the plan you have selected. You may not reverse engineer the service, resell or redistribute it, or circumvent technical limits including credit metering.
4. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service. In particular you must not:
- use it for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or for spam;
- infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy rights;
- interfere with its security — no malware, probing, scraping or automated abuse;
- generate illegal content, deepfakes, harassment, hate speech or malware, or attempt to jailbreak model safeguards;
- upload resumes, job descriptions or other content you do not have the right to submit.
5. AI outputs and accuracy
You are responsible for your prompts, the content you upload, and how you use the outputs. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and must be reviewed before you rely on them. CareerPilot AI does not provide legal, financial, immigration or other regulated professional advice, and its salary, negotiation and offer guidance is informational only.
As between you and us, you retain rights in the content you submit and in the outputs generated for you, subject to these terms. We may remove or restrict content, filter or refuse outputs, and suspend accounts for moderation reasons. If you believe content generated or hosted here infringes your rights, contact support@careerpilot.ai and we will review and act on valid complaints; repeat infringers lose access.
You grant us a limited licence to host and process your content solely to operate and provide the service.
6. Intellectual property
We retain all rights in the CareerPilot AI software, prompts, documentation, brand and underlying technology. Nothing in these terms transfers that ownership to you.
7. Service levels
We work to keep CareerPilot AI available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features, models and credit costs may change as the product evolves.
8. Payment, subscriptions and refunds
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Billing, renewal, taxes, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Our own 30-day refund commitment is set out in our Refund Policy.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the service at any time. On termination you may export your data for 30 days, after which we may delete it.
10. Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data or goodwill. Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
11. Indemnity
You indemnify us against claims arising from the content you submit, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
12. General
We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept it. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it in a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CareerPilot AI is established, and disputes are subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.
